Our standard newel post comes with our trusty cap.  However, you can always order a different newel cap if you would like by using the contact us button.

The standard is 54″ tall and the shank is made in at least 3/4″ solid wood.  It is edge glued.  The base is made from 3/4″ thick material and will come loose making it easy to cover mounting hardware.  The base is 1 1/2″ larger than the newel size.  Therefore, a 4″ in newel will be 5 1/2″ at the base.  A piece of trim wraps the newel to accent the top from the bottom.

These newel posts come with filler material at handrail level for solid mounting.  The nail holes are all filled, and the newel will be sanded.  After being custom crafted they are inspected for flaws.  The finished product arrives to you ready for final prepping before stain and paint.
