FAQ

May 4, 2017-  We are no longer taking orders at this time due to having to build a larger facility.  We hope to begin taking orders again in the fall once we have moved into our larger facility.  Thank you for supporting the small family owned business.

 I can’t find exactly what I am looking for on your site.  Can you make custom products?

YES!  If you want to mix and match some trim on a product, or have an existing stair part you need replicated, we usually can do it.  We can also customize the wood and sizes of our products.

When can I expect my order?

All orders are custom made at the time of purchase.  With the varying sizes and options for stairs, we want to insure that your custom stair parts are the exact match for your stairs.  Therefore, when you click purchase (even our standard wood and sizes) it can take up to 3 weeks (usually 10 business days or less) to get your order custom crafted and sent out to you.  We do try to get your order out to you as soon as possible, but can only guarantee it to be in that time frame.

Can I expedite an order if I need it sooner?

We handle expediting orders on a case by case request.  It all depends on the number of orders before you, how large your order is, and the amount of time it takes to actually custom craft your products.  If you need your order rushed, please do not hesitate to contact us, and we will try to make accommodations if possible.

We can always quote you for expedited shipping, beyond our regular shipping option.  For quicker shipping times through our shipper, just request for overnight or two day shipping and we will be happy to quote that for you.

Is PayPal my only option for paying?

We are happy to announce that we now accept credit card payments from most major credit cards as well now.

What if I am not satisfied with my product?

Almost all of our products are made at the time you order, and made specifically for your needs.  If you need help with measuring to get the best fit for your stairs, please use the contact us button and ask your questions.  We only guarentee our products against defects (such as knots) or poor craftsmanship on our part.  We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on any products because of customer error (not the right style, wrong size, wrong wood, etc.)

How do I measure for a cap?  Is the size of my post the size of the cap I need?

To measure for a new cap, you will measure the width of your post at the top(measure across both ways to make sure it is square).  You will then use that measurement to determine the size of your cap.  If your post at the top is 4″ square, then you will order a 4″ cap.  If your cap is 4 1/2″ by 4 1/4″, then you would want to give us those measurements so we can make a cap to fit that size.

We can make almost any cap in any size (even if not a size listed).  The only ones that we do not make smaller at this time are the Temple and Curvy Caps.  The reason for this is they are very intricate caps that making them smaller would over power the post, as well as look a little odd.
